![]() The key to defeat Evokers is to move fast to avoid the summoned object. Minecraft EvokersĮach spell creates an object near the player's position to deal damage. The evokers have two attack methods: summoning vexes and summoning fangs. They are the only source of the totem of undying. Minecraft Wolves 2 - EvokersĮvoker is a spellcaster enemy that can be found in woodland mansions and raids. While a single wolf is easy to defeat, multiple wolves might swarm you and bring your health down to zero super fast. If the player hits a wolf, however, prepare for a rude awakening - their eyes will turn red and they will attack you in packs. In the mean time, I’ll just shoot them with a bow, because I don’t want any of these mobs near me.Wolves are amongst the most likable mob enemies in Minecraft. If all these mobs disappeared one day from Minecraft, I’d be quite happy. ![]() And that doesn’t stop you from being immediately poisoned again. But not everyone carries a bucket of milk around. Thankfully, a bucket of milk will cure you of their poison. Although Cave Spiders do make a hissing sound, that sound is identical to normal spiders, and they’ll often inhabit the same spaces. This means a Cave Spider will sneak up on you quite easily. Cave Spiders are also coincidentally the same size as black headcrabs, about 1m by 1m, and will happily slip through 1 block spaces. Except Cave Spiders can climb walls and spawn infinitely from spawners as long as it’s dark enough. You know those black Headcrabs in Half-Life 2? The ones that, when they hit you, drop your health to 1? Well, Minecraft has them as well. They just produce extra annoyances due to Tridents. If they didn’t apply annoying debuffs, then these mobs would all be complete reskins, made slightly taller for some reason.Īlthough, to be fair, Drowned are reskinned zombies as well. Unfortunately, it’s the debuffs that make these guys unique. And, just like Strays, it gives you an annoying debuff. It’s a skeleton with a sword that’s bigger. The Wither Skeleton doesn’t get a pass either. Sure, they have their own little custom traits, but they’re still just basically zombies and skeletons. Strays and Husks are only really on this list for one reason: they’re reskinned skeletons and zombies. They also apparently die on their own after a while, which isn’t so bad. Which themselves are rare on easier difficulties. And they can only be summoned by Evokers. These little bastards kinda do whatever they want, and are very annoying to hit. So having small, flying critters that pass through all blocks and ignore collisions is somewhat annoying. Minecraft in particular isn’t really known for its accuracy. I’m not a fan of small, hard to hit enemies. Ghasts are just… horrible screaming giant jellyfish or something. They’re also Ender Dragon-like but have nothing to do with those either. What the fuck even ARE these creatures? Phantoms are bat-like, but we have actual bats in Minecraft already. A Ghast in the NetherĪnd my original issue with both still stands. ![]() I wrote about why I hate both in their own separate articles, but there’s probably going to be no changes to these two any time soon. Phantoms punish you for not sleeping on the regular. I’ve mentioned both of these before, which is why Ghasts and Phantoms are thrown in together. So not only do you have to fight those bastards, but you generally only ever get standard zombie loot from them. To add insult to injury, Drowned with Tridents pretty much never drop their Tridents. Not only do those fuckers do TONS of damage, but they’ll ruin your boat and kill you with ease. It’s those damn Drowned that have Tridents. Sure, they ruin the safety of oceans, and they can be a pain in the ass to fight. They can swim about as fast as you and are just generally very zombie-y. Drowned are basically underwater zombies. While I do appreciate oceans being much more lively now, there is one massive thing that bothers me: Drowned. Some of these enemies though do annoy me, and I’d be quite happy if they didn’t exist. But despite that, Minecraft is still a very familiar game that’s filled with hostile mobs that want to kill you. However, since I took a break from Minecraft, there’s a lot of newer features that I’m only vaguely aware of. I’ve been playing Minecraft more and more recently, which means there’s lots of zombies to slay.
